Bollywood actors, Rajkummar Rao and Kangana Ranaut, have ruled hearts in Queen, which gave the actress a push in her career. According to recent buzz, it looks like Kangana is in need of her Queen co-actor to bring back her luck again.
A report in Mumbai Mirror states that Rajkummar and Kangana are going to star in a psychological thriller. The duo will make a comeback together on-screen after four years.
Both the National Award-winners will be in Shailesh R Singh and Ekta Kapoor's movie, which will be directed by veteran Tollywood filmmaker K Raghavendra Rao's son Prakash Kovelamudi.
"It's a fast-paced thriller revolving around the two protagonists. Set in London and Mumbai, it is expected to roll in March. Raj recently heard the script and immediately came on board. Both Kangana and he are looking forward to working with each other once again," a source close to the development told Mumbai Mirror.
After Vikas Bahl's Queen, Kangana became a big star in Bollywood and then the diva gave another terrific performance in Tanu Weds Manu Returns. She won two National Awards. But then that's it!
Though she has been in headlines for Hrithik Roshan, she has not delivered any mind-blowing performances or movies to the industry. Now, she will be seen in a period-drama, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.
If she fails to impress the audience with this movie as well, then we wonder what the lady has to say about it. Her last flicks – Simran and Rangoon – turned out to be flops. In fact, even her performance didn't garner any appreciation.
Now, the actress is trying her hands on a period drama, we hope she gets in the race soon. On second thought, do Kangana feel that Rajkummar Rao was her lucky charm?
Before Queen, Kangana was not counted among the leading ladies of Bollywood. Though Rajkummar had a small role in Queen, he was the reason why her character went on a honeymoon all alone and impressed the audience with the story.
Now, Rajkummar and Kangana are reportedly back for a movie, which is said to be a thriller. We know both of them will do justice to these kinds of serious flicks, but this time the ball is on the opposite court – isn't it?
This time Rajkummar is the one with more fame, popularity, and hit plus good films. It will be interesting to see how the Simran actress and the Newton actor bring our Queen memories back, but with a thriller twist.
