Rajinikanth, who is getting ready to join hands with Shankar for the third time, seems to have given his nod to a project to be directed by Raghava Lawrence. It does not come as a surprise as the duo share a warm relationship.
It is well-known that Raghava Lawrence is an ardent fan of Rajinikanth. The superstar has always encouraged him and recently, Rajini had appreciated Lawrence's "Kanchana 2" and praised the film.
Now Raghava Lawrence, who has delivered a few successful directorial films, has approached Rajinikanth with a script. Even though the talks are in initial stages, a positive result can be expected, according to the grapevine.
"Lawrence has had a few meetings with the Superstar regarding a project, and discussions are on, even though everything is at an initial stage at the moment. But it looks like things will take a positive turn and an official announcement will be made by them soon," The Times of India quoted a source as saying.
Meanwhile, Raghava Lawrence is basking in the success of "Kanchana 2". The Tamil movie has become one of the biggest hits of Kollywood in 2015. The film, which has earned ₹40 crore in 10 days, is inching closer to the 50-crore mark.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is mostly likely to begin his next film with Shankar soon. The movie is reportedly bankrolled by Lyca Productions. The superstar is returning to the big screen after back-to-back below average films like "Kochadaiiyaan" and "Lingaa".
