Akshay Kumar is set to win hearts with his upcoming movie PadMan and post a social-awareness film, he will be seen in a horror flick. The Khiladi star will reportedly feature in the Hindi remake of Tamil movie Kanchana 2.
Looks like Akshay has become quite fond of South movies. After PadMan, the actor will be seen in Rajinikanth's 2.0 in which he is playing a villain's role. Now, Akshay's next is Kanchana 2 remake.
Akshay has been a part of horror comedy in Bhool Bhulaiyaa which was also a remake of a South film. Since then, the hunk wanted to do another horror film.
Earlier, during the closing ceremony of IFFI 2017, Akshay had said: "I really like horror comedy. I want to do a film like Bhool Bhulaiyaa. I want to work in a film like that. I am looking for a good script."
Now, Akshay seems to have got the script. No official announcement has been made yet, but the Khiladi actor has always won hearts in such roles.
Kanchana 2 was a 2015 Tamil horror comedy film written, produced and directed by Raghava Lawrence, who enacted a double role. The movie also featured Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen and Kovai Sarala in lead roles and was a big hit.
Meanwhile, Akshay's kitty is filled with projects. His upcoming movies are PadMan, 2.0, Gold, Kesari and Mogul. We wonder how Akshay will manage to shoot for Kanchana 2 amid these many projects.
The most-awaited movie of Akshay is 2.0 as he is sharing screen space with superstar Rajinikanth. The first instalment had Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and this time, it is Akshay, but in a negative role.
If the latest rumours are to be believed, the multilingual flick is likely to be postponed once again.
The makers had earlier claimed that 2.0 would hit the screens in April. But there is no sign of teaser and trailer release yet, which has possibly made the rumour mongers speculate about the change in the release plans.
