Kamal Haasan's "Vishwaroopam 2" is getting ready for a massive release worldwide next year. The film is expected to hit the screens in February 2014.
In a recent interview, the actor reportedly revealed some details about the film and said that most portions of the film's shooting are completed except for a small scene. Post-production is said to be going on in full swing, reported Behindwoods.
"Vishwaroopam 2" is a sequel to "Vishwaroopam" which hit the screens early this year. Expectations for the sequel are sky high as the first part was a big hit at the worldwide box office. "Vishwaroopam" was appreciated for its grandeur, but Kamal revealed that the sequel will be much bigger and better than the first part. One needs to wait till February to find out if the sequel repeats the magic of "Vishwaroopam."
The actor hopes that "Vishwaroopam 2" releases without any issues. "Vishwaroopam" was dragged in a controversy that affected the film's release. While the spy thriller hit theatres in other Indian states, it was banned in Tamil Nadu until the issue was sorted out. Despite having a delayed release, the film managed to fetch good collections. Kamal anticipates that there wouldn't be any controversies in connection with "Vishwaroopam 2."
Written and directed by the actor, "Vishwaroopam 2" retains most of the star cast from the first part including Pooja Kumar, Rahul Bose, Shekar Kapur and Andrea.
Yesteryear actress Waheeda Rahman and Anant Mahadevan are the new cast members in the film. The music for the sequel is composed by Ghibran. Cinematography is handled by Sanu John Vargesse and Shamdat Sainudeen, whereas editing is done by Mahesh Narayanan.
The Hindi version of the film titled "Vishwaroop 2" will be having simultaneous release with the Tamil version. Details about the film's audio and trailer launch are still awaited.
