Kamal Haasan's "Uthama Villain" aka "Uttama Villain" trailer and audio have been released on Sunday, 1 March 2015. It was launched at Chennai Trade Centre in Nandambakkam, Chennai. [Watch Trailer Below]
It was a star-studded event, which was attended by a host of celebrities. Pooja Kumar, Vikram Prabhu, Andrea, Ramesh Arvind, Nassar, Lingusamy, Subash Chandra Bose, Luthfudeen Baasha, Urvashi, Vijay Sethupathi, MS Bhaskar, Parvathi Nair, Poorna and many others were spotted at the event.
Apart from releasing the trailer, the makers had an interesting news for netizens as they have made the songs available on internet to download.
The entire movie team remembered late K Balachander, who acted in "Uthama Villain". Kamal Haasan read out a letter written by the legendary director a few years ago and the actor was into tears when he mouthed the below lines.
"I did not discover Kamal. I only gave him the platform and the opportunity to discover himself. In the process, I was blessed enough to discover myself. Yes, I own Kamal yet he does not belong to me, he belongs to the world of Cinema."
Emotional Kamal Haasan claimed that Balachander was everything to him and he would not have been the same without the late legendary filmmaker.
Many from the team shared their experience of being part of the movie and said that they enjoyed working with the Universal Star.
"Uthama Villain" is directed by Kannada actor and director Ramesh Aravind. It is produced by Kamal Hassan in association with N Lingusamy. Pooja Kumar and Andrea Jeremiah are the female leads in the movie.
Meanwhile, the music is getting amazing response from the audience and critics. The album reportedly has 17 songs including seven background scores.
