After a long wait, Kamal Haasan has finally announced that his much-awaited movie "Uthama Villain" will hit theatres worldwide on 2 April. The actor who shared a video about "Uthama Villain" release thanked his fans and audience for their enquires about movie.
Considering Kamal Haasan's popularity, industry analysts are expecting the movie to have a mass release in terms of number of theatres. Meanwhile, the team has announced that the audio of the movie will be launched on 1 March.
The trailer of the movie, which was earlier released online, had received overwhelming response from the audience. The frenzy it created assured that the movie will be a treat for "Ulaganayakan" fans and kept the audience guessing about the storyline. It also introduced the lead characters of the movie
Kamal Haasan, will appear in double roles in the movie. He will portray the role of an 8th century drama artist (Uthaman) and a 21st century film star (Manoranjan).
Legendary film maker Balachander, who passed away recently, who is also the real-life mentor of Kamal, will reprise the role of Manoranjan's mentor in the film. Audience are expecting that the movie will have a chapter, which talks about the relationship which Kamal and Balachandar shared
"Uthama Villain" is directed by actor and filmmaker Ramesh Arvind, while Kamal Haasan has taken care of story, screenplay and dialogues.
The music of the movie is done by M Gibran and the lyrics are written by Subbu Arumugam, Kamal Haasan and Viveka. The cinematography is by Shyam Dutt and editing by Vijay Shankar.
The film's cast include Urvashi, Andreah Jeremiah, K Viswanath, Pooja Kumar, Nasser, Jayaram, MS Bhaskar and Parvathi Menon. The film also has legendary filmmaker K Balachander in special appearance.
This upcoming magnum opus is produced by N Lingusamy and Kamal Haasan under the banner of Thirrupathi Brothers and Raaj Kamal Films International respectively.
