The first look posters of Kamal Haasan's upcoming movie "Thoongavanam" were released on 24 May in Hyderabad. The makers have announced that the Telugu version of the bilingual movie has been titled "Cheekati Rajyam".
The posters suggest that viewers can expect the movies to be packed with action.

It was announced earlier that "Thoongaavanam" will have Trisha as the lead heroine; Kamal Haasan has also roped in Manisha Koirala to play an important role in the movie. Manisha has earlier worked with Kamal in iconic Tamil movies that include "Indian" (1996) and "Alavavandhan" (2001), while Trisha has worked with him in the 2010 movie "Manmadan Ambu".
The upcoming movie, being directed by Rajesh N Selva, will see Trisha in a character similar to that of "Bond" girl and reportedly in an ultra-glamorous look.
Kamal will be seen as a police officer in "Thoongaavanam", which is touted to be a stylish thriller that will unfold in a single night. The makers had earlier planned to shoot the movie in Mauritius and Kamal had also finalised some locations on the island, but several logistical issues led the team to reschedule shooting in India.
The movie also has Prakash Raj and Uma Riaz Khan in pivotal roles. Ghibran is the music composer of the upcoming movie; Ghibran has recently worked with Kamal for movies such as "Uttama Villian" and "Papanasam".
As of now, Kamal Haasan in basking in the success of his film "Uttama Villain", which has received an overwhelming response from critics and audience. The movie is doing extremely well at box offices across Tamil Nadu and overseas markets. Two more movies of Kamal – "Vishwaroopam 2" and "Papanasam" -- are also set to be released soon.
