Kamal Haasan starrer "Papanasam" trailer has been released on Thursday, 30 April. It is a neatly-edited video, which has come out well. [Find the video below]
Kamal Haasan's PR, Nikkil Murugan had announced earlier in the day that the trailer is going to be released. He tweeted, "Wide Angle Creations & Rajkumar Theatres Pvt Ltd Prod, Ulaganayagan *ing, Jeetu Joseph Dir, "Papanasam" 1.30 mins Trailer today eve 6.30 PM".
"After a long gap, Ulaganayagan & Gauthami *ing Together for "Papanasam". Ulaganayagan's "Papanasam" is a remade of Malayalam Blockbuster "Drishyam," Murugan added.
The trailer has been directly released on YouTube. It is also expected to be attached to "Uttama Villain" so that the audience, who visit theatres to watch the Ramesh Aravind directorial movie "Uttama Villain", could get a glimpse of Kamal's next film.
The Tamil movie is being directed by Jeethu Joseph and produced by Suresh Balaje in association with George Plus, Rajkumar Sethupathi and Sripriya Rajkumar. It has M Ghibran's music, Sujith Vassudev's cinematography and Ayoob Khan's editing.
Kalabhavan Mani, Asha Sarath, Niveda Thomas, Anant Mahadevan, Baby Esther, Roshan Basheer and others are in the cast.
The original "Drishyam" starring Mohanlal and Meena broke box office records and became a big hit. Later, it was remade in Kannada starring Ravichandran and Navya Nair, followed by Telugu version starring Venkatesh and Meena.
All the versions were big hits and people are hoping that the Tamil version starring Kamal Haasan would also do well in Kollywood.
