Speculations are high regarding the release date of Kamal Haasan's upcoming release "Papanasam". The latest we hear is that the makers of the film are planning to release the movie on 3 July.
Accordinng to Trade analyst Sreedhar Pillai, the team of "Papanasam" has been waiting for the director of the movie, Jeethu Joseph, to return from abroad. He has been shooting for his upcoming Malayalam release "Life of Josuutty", starring Dileep, in New Zealand.

Earlier, it was rumoured that "Papanasam" will be released on 17 July and the audio launch of the movie will take place by mid June. Since the audio launch date is yet to be announced, the new release date is assumed to be just another speculation.
Meanwhile, team of "Papanasam" has organised a press meet on 18 June afternoon and the official announcement regarding the release of the audio as well as the film is expected to take place on the same day.
The movie, which is the Tamil remake of hit Malayalam movie "Dhrishyam", has Kamal Haasan in the lead character of Suyambi Lingam. Gauthami, who is also the real life partner of Kamal, plays his wife. The movie's star cast also includes Kalabhavan Mani, Asha Sarath, Nivedha Thomas, Anant Mahadevan, Baby Esther, Roshan Basheer, Charle and Delhi Ganesh.
The team of "Papanasam" had earlier released two trailers and first look poster of the movie. Both had received overwhelming response from the audience.
The dialogues of the movie have been written by Jayamohan and the music is done Ghibran. The cinematography has been handled by Sujith Vasudevan and Ayoob Khan has taken care of editing.
The movie has been jointly produced by Suresh Balaje, George Pius, Rajkumar Sethupathi and Sripriya Rajkumar.
