He posted, "29th instant. 41st production of RKFI will be unveiled at Nadigar sangam grounds. Resowing the sense of family.on my land. Thanks to sangam." The upcoming movie is made on Kamal Haasan's home banner of Raj Kamal International. His daughter Shruti Haasan is playing the same role in the forthcoming film, which is directed by award-winning filmmaker TK Rajeev Kumar.
Yesteryear actress Ramya Krishnan has been reportedly signed to play an important role in the film and Music Maestro Ilaiyaraaja will compose the music. Other cast and crew are yet to be revealed.
The major part of the movie will be shot in the U.S. and it will be simultaneously filmed in Tamil and Malayalam languages.
Kamal Haasan is in need of a big hit after some of his films failed to make it big at the box office. While his "Uttama Villain" turned out to be a flop, his "Paapanasam" and "Thoongavanam" were just average grossers. His last commercial hit was "Vishwaroopam" in 2003.
Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan's blockbuster Hindi movie "Sadma," which was the remake of Tamil movie "Moondram Pirai," is getting ready for its Hollywood remake.
"Yes, I will first shoot the Sadma remake in Hindi and then next year I will shoot it in English. We are simultaneously locking the star cast for both the films and both the films will have a different star cast," director Lloyd Baptista told IANS.
