Kamal Haasan and his daughter Shruti Haasan's untitled movie will be launched on Friday, April 29, at the Nadigar Sangam grounds. The actor will also be announcing the title of the film at the event, which is expected to be graced by popular names from Kollywood.
The upcoming flick will be made simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The Universal Star will reportedly play the role of Balram Naidu, the hilarious RAW agent he had played in "Dasavathaaram."
Popular yesteryear actress Ramya Krishnan will be seen as his wife. Shruti Haasan and Kamal Haasan will play father-daughter in the trilingual flick. Telugu comic actor Brahmanandam is also part of the movie. "#KamalHaasan will play Balram Naidu in his next film. #Brahmanandam will play his sidekick, Appa Rao, originally played by late Raghuram, [sic]" journalist Haricharan Pudipeddi tweeted.
Kamal Haasan himself is producing the movie under his home banner of Raj Kamal International. Award-winning filmmaker TK Rajeev Kumar is directing the untitled flick, which has Ilaiyaraaja's music.
Ilaiyaraaja is collaborating with Kamal Haasan after a gap of 11 years. It has to be noted that the Music Maestro has suggested the title of the upcoming flick. "I found a simple and exciting title for my new trilingual MI moving images. The Hindi title came from Saurabhji .The Tamizh from illayaraja, [sic]" wrote the actor on Twitter.
The actor, who is known as a trend-setter, has come out with an innovative idea for the movie launch: The event will be streamed live online. It is probably the first time a film launch event is being streamed online in Kollywood.
