Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan has reportedly won ₹50 lakhs on TV show "Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi" (You too can win one crore), which is the Tamil version of "Kaun Banega Crorepati".
The shooting of the episode took place on Saturday at the AVM Studios in Chennai.
Confirming the superstar's participation in "Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi", his agent had tweeted, "Kamal Haasan to participate in Vijay TV's super hit program NVOK. He is on his way to the sets."
The new season of the show which commenced on 11 March, 2013 is hosted by actor Prakash Raj. The episode featuring Kamal will be aired on 14 April, 2013 on Vijay TV.
After shooting for "Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi", Kamal will head to the Delhi to meet Pandit Birju Maharaj, a renowned classical dancer who bagged a National Award for choreography in "Vishwaroopam".
The first season of "Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi" was hosted by Tamil superstar Suriya. Kamal had made his presence felt in the show when his daughter, Shruti Haasan, who had come as a guest in one of the episodes, sought his help for one of the questions using the lifeline 'Phone A Friend'. Kamal answered the question and even chatted with Suriya for a while.
Currently, Kamal is busy shooting for his next venture "Vishwaroopam 2" which is a sequel to his previous spy thriller film.
Earlier, Kamal had confirmed that "Vishwaroopam 2" will be released in 2013 without any delay unlike the first sequel after it landed in controversy which delayed the release of the movie by two weeks.
"Vishwaroopam" had reportedly raked ₹220 crores at box offices across the world.
