Director Perarasu, who has earlier worked with stars like Vijay and Ajith, has turned a lyricist. He has written the lyrics for a special song on Kamal Haasan. A video is being unveiled to thank the contribution of Kamal Haasan on his birthday.
It is a tribute video, which will be released on the universal star's birthday on Monday, November 7. Perarasu has teamed up with young musician Thor Nishanlee based in Norway and the special video is directed by Sabari.
"Sabari is a big fan of Kamal Haasan. He asked me to pen lyrics for his tribute song which he will be releasing on Kamal Haasan's birthday. Nishanlee has worked with Harris Jayaraj in many films, and his songs are impressive. Our tribute song, starts with the lyrics, unakkul oruvan, enakkul oruvan, kalaiyin thalaivan yaar. It has come out really well," the Times of India quoted Perarasu as saying.
However, Kamal Haasan has requested his fans not to celebrate his birthday this year, citing the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's health. Also, his break-up with Gautami recently has left the fans in the state of a shock.
Gautami announced the news recently in her blog post titled "Life and decisions." She wrote that their paths were irreversibly diverged and that she has been struggling to compromise with things for the last two years. The news about the separation is heartbreaking for her and she noted that making the news public is not an act of seeking sympathy or blaming the actor.
On the professional front, Kamal Haasan's Sabash Naidu, which was supposed be ready for its release by December, has been delayed after the actor suffered a leg injury in August. The bilingual movie has his daughter Shruti Haasan, Ramya Krishnan, Saurabh Shukla and others are in the cast. The universal star himself is producing and directing the upcoming movie.
