Director Alphonse Puthren's movie "Premam" was one of the most celebrated Malayalam blockbusters that made tremendous business at the box office in India as well as abroad in 2015. The Nivin Pauly starrer had introduced debutants Sai Pallavi, Madonna Sebastian and Anupama Parameshwaran, who started enjoying a huge fan following within days of the movie's release.
Now, the movies of the two leading ladies, Sai and Madonna, are set to lock horns at the Kerala box office. Both the movies, which are the second Malayalam projects of the two actresses, are set to hit the theatres on the fourth week of March. The makers of Sai's "Kali" have confirmed that the flick will be released March 26, while Madonna's "King Liar" is scheduled to hit screens March 27.
While Sai will next be seen opposite State Film Award winner Dulquer Salmaan in Sameer Thahir's movie, Madonna has been paired up with Dileep in the Siddique-Lal directorial. Interestingly, other than their flicks locking horns at the box office, both the actresses have something else in common in their upcoming films. Sai and Madonna will be seen playing the role of a character named "Anjali" in both the flicks.
"Kali" marks the comeback of Sameer and Dulquer after the 2013 road movie "Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi" and with "King Liar," the successful director duo Siddique and Lal are joining hands together after 22 years.
