Kalabhavan Shajon has now turned as a singer for his upcoming movie "Njangalude Veettile Adhithikal". The promo song begins with the lines "Maaye Maaye".
The song has managed to impress the audience because of the versatility in the actor's voice. Ratheesh Vega, who has composed this fast number with the right mix of traditional percussions and electronic sounds has also brought out the best from Shajon.
"Njangalude Veettile Adhithikal" is directed by Sibi Malayil and has Jayaram and Priyamani in the lead, while Shajon will appear as a comedian. Shajon began his career as a mimicry artist and later went on to do many roles as a comedian, however, it was Mohanlal starrer "Drishyam", which was his career's biggest break. He had appeared in a villainous role in the blockbuster film and grabbed numerous awards for his performance.
Meanwhile, "Njangalude Veettile Adhithikal" is a family entertainer, which revolves around the life of a couple, Advocate Manoj (Jayaram) and Bhavana (Priyamani) and some guests who visit them. The film also has Narain in a pivotal role, while Innocent and Lalitha will be seen as Jayaram's parents.
The upcoming Jayaram starrer is scripted by Gireesh Kumar, who had earlier penned for films like "Amrutham", "Veruthe Oru Bharya", "Gaddama", "Swapna Sanchari", "Bharya Athra Pora" and "Pattam Pole."
Meanwhile, Priyamani was last seen in Malayalam in the 2002 release Mohanlal starrer "Grandmaster". The film was directed by B Unnikrishnan and she played the role of an advocate. The actress is now popular among Malayalam television viewers as she is judging the dance reality show "D4 Dance" in Mazhavil Manorama.
The upcoming film is produced by Milan Jaleel under the banner of Galaxy Films and will hit theatres on 30 October.
