Actress Kajal Aggarwal has started shooting for the item song, "Pakka Local," for Junior NTR's "Janatha Garage." The song has been composed by music director Devi Sri Prasad.
The bosses of Mythri Movie Makers announced the news when they revealed that Kajal Aggarwal has been signed up as a member of the cast for "Janatha Garage." They tweeted: "The super Successful combo is back! Gorgeous @MsKajalAggarwal is doing a special song with our Young Tiger @tarak9999 in #JanathaGarage ☺ï¸."
Mahesh S Koneru, the publicist for "Janatha Garage," also posted information that Kajal Aggarwal would perform an item song. He tweeted: "The lovely @MsKajalAggarwal will be doing a special song with @tarak9999 in #JanathaGarage .. Rocking number."
The latest we hear is Kajal started filming for "Pakka Local" on Aug. 17. Mahesh confirmed the news to International Business Times, India, and said, "Kajal is doing an item song named 'Pakka Local.' She's just featured in the item song and there is no other role for her in 'Janatha Garage.' She will be seen wearing a rustic costume. Kajal is expected to complete the shooting in four days."
Kajal Aggarwal had been offered item songs in several films in the past, but this is the first time she has come forward to do a special number. He debut item number is choreographed by Sekhar Master. Director Koratala Siva is said to be taking extra care about the actress' appearance and expressions in the sequence. "The song is expected to be one of the highlights of the film," Mahesh added.
The actress is said to be charging a bomb for the item number. While Mahesh refused to divulge the details about her remuneration and the production cost of the song, he admitted that both would be the highest amounts spent in the history of Tollywood. "Both, the cost of the song and the remuneration of Kajal, are highest ever for an item song in Telugu," he elaborated.
Earlier, Kajal Aggarwal has starred with young tiger Junior NTR in "Brindaavanam" and "Baadshah," which were decent hits at the box office. Their chemistry played a big role in the success of the film. This is for the third time that she has teamed up with the star, albeit only in a special song.
The music album of "Janatha Garage" was released at a grand function held at Shilpaka Vedika in Hyderabad on Aug. 12. Lahari Music/T-Series Telugu, which has acquired the music rights of the film, released the lyrical video of the song "Pakka Local," which has got good response. The video has got 118,718 views, 1,041 thumbs up, 31 thumbs down and 76 comments. Check out the video here:
