Actress Kajal Aggarwal has finally opened up on the failure of "Sardaar Gabbar Singh" and "Brahmotsavam" at the box office. She says there is no point in brooding over poor results.
Tollywood released some big-ticket movies in theatres this summer, and "Sardaar Gabbar Singh" and "Brahmotsavam" were the biggest among them. They were expected to storm the box office, but ended up become the biggest disasters. Kajal Aggarwal has said she does not regret accepting these project.
"They were very big films. And there was no question of saying no to them. For "Sardaar Gabbar Singh," with my co-star Pawan Kalyan's star-power behind it, we thought we had a winner. As for 'Brahmotsavam,' although I am there only in the first-half, I love my role. I don't play a decorative doll but someone with a mind of her own who actually says no to marry the hero." Kajal Aggarwal told Deccan Chronicle.
Kajal had worked with Mahesh Babu in "Businessman," which has become hit, and their chemistry had impressed viewers. She teamed up with Pawan Kalyan for the first time in "Sardaar Gabbar Singh." Experts from the industry had predicted that her chemistry with the power star would work wonders for the movie.
The actress has moved on to her next project after doing some introspection on the poor performances of "Sardaar Gabbar Singh" and "Brahmotsavam." "We all want our films to do well. And it's hard luck when that doesn't happen. But there's no point in sitting around brooding and sulking over it. The best thing to do is to move on," Kajal said.
Kajal Aggarwal currently has four projects in her kitty. She has completed shooting for her next Hindi film "Do Lafzon Ki Kahani," which will release on June 10, and is now busy promoting it. She is working in Tamil films like "Kavalai Vendam" and "Garuda." She has also signed to work with Teja in his next film.
