Actress Kajal Aggarwal is a tad jealous of her colleagues Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia for bagging roles in SS Rajamouli's epic film "Baahubali".
"I was a little envious of Anushka and Tamannaah. But Rajamouli knows whom to cast in his films. I am also happy for my best friend Tamannaah," she told Deccan Chronicle in an interview.
Kajal Aggarwal made her debut in Tollywood with "Lakshmi Kalyanam" in 2007, but it was SS Rajamouli's 2009 period movie "Magadheera" which brought her into the limelight.
The movie's stupendous success at the box office and her performance stood out, paving the way for her subsequent rise in regional films.
When SS Rajamouli announced his second period film "Baahubali", many from the Telugu film industry expected him to cast Kajal Aggarwal for a female lead in the film. But there was not a single rumour or speculation about its makers approaching the actress, leaving many surprised.
But was the actress upset over it? "Not really!" she said.
"Baahubali" is one of the most-talked about projects and has been creating a positive buzz in the media ever since Rajamouli announced the film. Its promos have grabbed many eyeballs not only in India, but also among Telugu film fans abroad. Millions of film goers and stars are eagerly awaiting the release of the film.
Kajal Aggarwal is not the first star to express her envy for not being part of "Baahubali".
Many stars from South as well as Bollywood have groaned for not getting an opportunity to feature in this epic film.
Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan is one of those stars. Besides lauding the team's effort, Big B had said, "Now, I feel I should have been in this project."
