Bollywood actress Kainaat Arora is all set to debut in Malayalam cinema. The upcoming actress will play a pivotal role in Joshiy directorial "Lailaa O Lailaa", which stars Mohanlal and Amala Paul in the lead.
The model-turned-actress made her debut as an item dancer in the song "Aila Re Aila" for Priyadarshan's film "Khatta Meetha" starring Akshay Kumar. Now, the actress is excited to work with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal in "Lailaa O Lailaa".
"To work with Mohanlal is indeed a dream come true for me. Though he is such a big star, he has no starry airs. It is indeed a blessing to work with scribe Suresh Nair and director Joshiy too. In fact, it was Suresh who approached me for the role. I really don't have the liberty to open up about my role. All I can say is that my character is pivotal to the story, and the central plot revolves around her. That's not all, I have a lot of combination scenes with Mohanlal," said Kainaat to The Times of India.
Kainaat is late actress Divya Bharathi's cousin and had also acted in Tamil film "Mankatha" (2011) and Bollywood film "Grand Masti" (2013).
"Lailaa O Lailaa" also has Sathyaraj, Ramya Nambeeshan, Kalakalyani, Ashvin Mathew and Joy Mathew in significant roles.
"Lailaa O Lailaa" is the second film of Mohanlal–Amala–Joshiy combination post the success of "Run Baby Run", which was released in 2012. It was a comedy thriller film where Mohanlal played the role of a cameraman and Amala was seen as a journalist. The film was well received and became one of the highest grosser of the year.
The story and screenplay of "Lailaa O Lailaa" is done by Suresh Nair, who had done the scripts for films like "Kahaani", "Namastey London", "D-Day", "Sing is King" and "Bang Bang".
The upcoming comedy thriller is produced by Finecut Entertainments.
