The infamous celebrity death hoax has killed one of Bollywood's finest actors Kader Khan, again. The 78-year-old actor became a victim of the death hoax, when people tweeted about his passing Saturday.
However, these are just rumours. Kader is still alive and doing fine, a source close to the actor's family told IANS.
"All these tweets and posts are rumours. He is very much alive. I had a word with him late in the evening," Fauzia Arshi, director of 'Hogaya Dimaagh Ka Dahi', the movie in which Kader was last seen acting, told IANS. "I would request all to stop these rumours," she added.
Kader, who has acted in more than 350 films in his career spanning over 40 years, has been a victim of celebrity death hoaxes in the past as well. In 2013, rumours did the rounds that the actor had died and fans even created a Facebook page with title "RIP Kader Khan."
However, the actor himself clarified the rumours in 2013, and urged people to stop spearing the fake news. "My family is extremely upset about it. They are very worried. All this has shaken my family. Whoever is spreading such rumours, please stop it," Kader told IANS.
The 78-year-old actor suffers from age old problems and finds it difficult to walk and speak. Kader Khan is constantly under medical care at this residence in Mumbai, but that has not stopped him from acting. The actor returned to films last year with "Hogaya Dimaagh Ka Dahi" movie.
The Bollywood veteran is known for his work in some of the prominent films, including "Coolie," "Hum Hain Kamaal Ke," "Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri," "Bol Radha Bol," "Aankhen," "Raja Babu," "Dulhe Raja," "Judwaa" and "Taqdeerwala".
