The "lethal combination" of Hrithik Roshan and Kabir Khan was on until last November, but the association has now been put on hold. Sources say, the filmmaker has turned to Salman Khan for his next film.
According to SpotboyE, Kabir has pitched an idea and Salman has approved it. The director is in Austria writing the script and the pre-production proceedings will roll once he returns from the European country.
Since there has been no official announcement yet, this can, at best, be considered a mere speculation.
The blow comes roughly four months after producer-director Sajid Nadiadwala told the Hindustan Times that the trio couldn't wait to start the project. "I am very excited about the film. I just can't wait to start working with the lethal combination of Kabir and Hrithik."
While what changed in those few months is hard to guess, the actors' calendars are almost filled-out for the year.
At the moment, Salman is working tirelessly towards wrapping up "Sultan" on time. The Ali Abbas Zafar film is about the life and times of a wrestler based out of Haryana. Anushka Sharma, who also plays the sport, essays the role of the superstar's love interest in it. Scheduled for an Eid release, the action-drama may clash with Shah Rukh Khan's "Raees."
Next up, Salman resumes hosting duties with "Bigg Boss 10." Apparently, the 10th edition is set to be better and will have shocking twists in store for its viewers. As far as reports go, the upcoming show may feature commoners too.
Meanwhile, Hrithik has two projects he's yet to begin work on. "Mohenjo Daro" stands incomplete as of now, but he will be back on the sets by this week or next. While the actor recuperates from his injuries, director Ashutosh Gowariker has been in the edit room putting the film together.
Hrithik then takes up Sanjay Gupta's "Kaabil," which also stars Yami Gautam. He also has a Yash Raj Films project with Vijay Krishna Acharya.
