Kabir Khan confirmed on Twitter that he is teaming up with Salman Khan and now reports of the leading lady being finalised have started doing the rounds. Apparently, Deepika Padukone will be paired opposite Salman in Kabir's upcoming film.
Deepika, who earlier shared screen space with Shah Rukh Khan, will reportedly play the female lead role in Kabir's next, which is said to be an action thriller.
"Salman has signed his next after Sultan and will be seen opposite Deepika. Kabir's next would not be a love story, it will be an action thriller," Bollywoodlife.com quoted a source as saying.
The film is set to go on the floors by June this year and will release next year on Eid. Salman is trying to wrap up "Sultan" shoot by May so that he can work with Kabir from June.
"Salman will be giving more time to Sultan and finish the shoot in May because after this he has to start Kabir Khan's next as that releases on Id next year," Deccan Chronicle quoted a source as saying.
The daily also reported that the untitled film will be a social drama. However, the director is yet to make an official announcement regarding the genre and the lead actress.
On Thursday, director Kabir took to Twitter to announce that he will be working with Salman next and the film will be released on Eid 2017. "YES... WE ARE COMING BACK... EID 2017," he tweeted along with a photo of him with Salman.
This is the third time Kabir is teaming up with Salman. In 2012, Kabir and Salman delivered a blockbuster hit "Ek Tha Tiger." Last year, they came together with "Bajrangi Bhaijaan," which became the biggest hit of their careers.
