The makers of superstar Rajinikanth's "Kabali" are rumoured to have postponed its release date and as per the new date, the film will clash with Venkatesh's "Babu Bangaram."
Produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, "Kabali" is one of the most expensive Indian movies of 2016. The film has been creating positive buzz in the media, ever since it was announced. The movie is currently in the last leg of its production and the makers recently released its first look teaser, which has taken the world of YouTube by storm. The 1.06-minute long video has been viewed 16,166,502 times.
The massive response for the teaser shows the craze for the movie "Kabali," which features Rajinikanth as an aging don in Malaysia. Rajini's fans are desperately waiting to watch the movie in theatres. The movie was initially slated to release worldwide in the mid of May. However, it was later rumoured that its release date was pushed to June due to delay in its production work.
If we are to go by the latest reports, the release of "Kabali" has further been delayed by a month. The Pa Ranjith-directed action gangster movie is likely to be released in cinema halls across the globe on July 1, according to a 123Telugu. The movie will compete with Venkatesh's "Babu Bangaram," which is also set to hit screens on the same day.
"Babu Bangaram" is a comedy entertainer film that features Venkatesh in a hilarious role. Victory Venki plays a cop in the movie and his characterisation will be one of the highlights of the movie. The first look of the film, which was released on the eve of Ugadi, shows Venkatesh in a classy, charming and stylish new makeover.
"Bhale Bhale Magadivoi" fame Maruthi Dasari has written the script and dialogues and has directed "Babu Bangaram," which is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamshi under his banner Sitara Entertainments. Nayanthara plays the female lead opposite Venkatesh and she appears as a Brahmin girl in the film. Maruthi has taken special care to design her character.
Bollywood starlet Sonam Bajwa will be seen sizzling in a special song of "Babu Bangaram." Ghibran has composed the music for the soundtracks of the film and its audio album will be released soon. Its overseas rights were reportedly sold for a whopping price of Rs. 2.5 crore to Blue Sky and it is said to be the highest price for a Venkatesh film. This clearly shows the hype around the film.
