Many theatres running Rajinikanth's upcoming movie "Kabali" are expected to witness houseful shows on the opening day as tickets offered through online advance booking system have apparently been sold out. However, fans, who have missed out on grabbing the advance tickets, can still get "Kabali" tickets, and that too for free.
Cashing in on the popularity of Rajinikanth and the craze around his upcoming film, a number of business houses have announced offers through which fans can win free movie tickets to watch "Kabali." Lucky winners can also bag special Rajinikanth gifts.
Online food-service Swiggy.com is offering free "Kabali" tickets to its customers in Bangalore. The company has offered more than 200 free tickets to customers who place the maximum number of orders using the code, "THALAIVA." This offer is valid till 4 p.m. on July 21.
Fans in Pondicherry can also get free tickets of "Kabali" but after putting in a little hard work. Puducherry government will offer free movie tickets of the Rajinikanth-starrer to those who promise to build toilets in their houses. The scheme was announced after a government survey revealed that 447 out of the 772 houses in Sellipet village do not have any sanitary system.
Airtel has also taken note of the Rajinikanth craze and has offered lucrative packages and products to its customers in Chennai. Airtel customers can enjoy special "Kabali" recharge packs that will give unlimited 2G internet, "Kabali" Hello Tunes and special Rajinikath SIM packs.
And then, non-banking finance company Muthoot Fincorp in Tamil Nadu has made available silver coins with Rajini's face embossed on them. The special silver coins have a price range of Rs. 300 to Rs. 1,400, and include coins weighing five grams, 10 grams and 20 grams, and 10 grams pendants.
Maruti has introduced in Tamil Nadu a special edition of the Swift that will have "Kabali" posters designed over the vehicle.
Directed by Pa Ranjith, "Kabali" will present the superstar in the character of a gangster. The film also features Radhika Apte and is slated to be released on July 22.
