People have often fallen prey to baseless rumours and reacted harshly at times. This time, it's Pa Ranjith at the receiving end as he was trolled on social media for comments he never made. Rumours doing the rounds suggested the Kabali director had mocked recently-released Baahubali 2, which did not go down well with the fans.
Speculation was rife that Pa Ranjith disliked Baahubali 2 as the movie did not carry any message to the society. The fans of Baahubali 2 were quick to react to the rumour and trolled Pa Ranjith. In fact, the furious fans took it personally and mocked the director's previous films. They called Kabali a flop movie and only ran in theatres due to the presence of Rajinikanth.
Later, Pa Ranjith came on a Tamil TV channel to give clarification on the rumours and said he never made a comment against Baahubali 2. He put an end to the issue saying he has seen the movie and liked SS Rajamouli's creation.
Meanwhile, Baahubali 2 has opened to an overwhelming response in Tamil Nadu. The movie is set to cross Rs. 50 crore mark in the state. Baahubali is already the second biggest hit in Tamil Nadu in 2017.
Baahubali 2 stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia in lead roles. The SS Rajamouli's movie, released on April 28, has minted over Rs. 750 crore at the worldwide box office and is likely to become the first Indian film to reach Rs. 1,000-crore mark.
