The audio of "Kabali" will be unveiled on Sunday, June 12. The latest buzz is that the music album will be directly released online and the makers are unlikely to hold a grand function, as reported earlier.
"#Kabali audio buzz - NO launch event.. Direct Online launch at 11am on June 12, Sunday," journalist Kaushik LM tweeted. Rajinikanth is currently holidaying in the U.S. with his family and this is said to be the reason behind the album being directly released to the stores and online.
However, some reports say that Kalaippuli S Thanu might release the audio of "Kabali" in a simple event in Chennai. "#Kabali Audio Update : Rajini sir in the US. Not keen doing a mega event. Might be a very simple launch on 12th," film critic Prashanth posted on Twitter.
It was earlier reported that the music of "Kabali" will be released like usual at a grand event. Rumours were rife that some of the big names from the industry would be part of the function.
"Kabali" has six songs, scored by fast-growing musician Santhosh Narayanan. "#Kabali Album will release with 6 songs. Movie will have 5 songs. Includes typical Introduction song for superstar and a romantic song, [sic]" journalist Christopher Kanagaraj wrote on Twitter.
The audio album is said to be a mix of variety of songs. The film reportedly consists of a high-energy Rajinikanth's introductory song and a romantic number.
Pa Ranjith's "Kabali" is an action-thriller in which Rajinikanth plays the role of a gangster. He has paired up with Radhika Apte. Dhansika, Dinesh Ravi, Kalaiyarasan, John Vijay, Kishore and others are in supporting roles.
The movie will reportedly release in Tamil, Telugu and a few other languages on July 1.
