The advance booking for Rajini's "Kabali," which is set to be released on July 22, was opened in some locations in Karnataka and Kerala on Sunday and tickets are priced at Rs. 500 and Rs. 600, respectively.

"Kabali" is a gangster action movie made in Tamil and dubbed in Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam. All the four versions are released in theatres around the world on the same date. While its Malayalam and Tamil versions will grace screens in Kerala, Karnataka is set to witness the release of all the four versions of the movie.
The promos of "Kabali" have generated lot of hype and expectations about the film in Karnataka and Kerala, where Rajinikanth has huge fan base. The theatrical rights of "Kabali" for both the states have sold for record prices and the distributors are leaving no stone unturned to cash in on the craze for Rajinikanth. They have planned to release the movie in a large number of cinema halls.
The advance booking for "Kabali" will officially be made available soon, but some screens have already opened the booking for its Tamil version. Urvashi Digital 4K Cinema (Lalbagh Road) and Rex Theatre (Brigade Road) in Bangalore have opened the booking for its Tamil version on Sunday. The viewers can book tickets for the first three days.
As per Book My Show, tickets for "Kabali" are priced at Rs. 400 for Silver, Rs. 450 for Gold and Rs. 500 Platinum class in Urvashi Digital 4K Cinema, while Rex Theatre charges Rs. 500 for balcony and Rs. 300 stall. Urvashi and Rex Theatre have 5 and 6 shows, respectively, on the opening day of the film. Over 50 percent of the tickets for the opening day have already been sold out and tickets are available for Saturday and Sunday.
Q Cinemas: Gold Souk Grande in Kochi has opened booking for the Tamil version of "Kabali" for its opening day on Sunday. It will have 12 shows and tickets are priced at Rs. 153 for morning and matinee shows and Rs. 183 for evening shows, according to Book My Show. But the website does not provide information about the booking in any other city in Kerala as of at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.
However, the buzz on the social media claims that advance booking for "Kabali" has started in Trivandrum and tickets are priced at Rs. 300 and Rs. 600. A post on the Kerala Rajini Fans' Twitter handle read: "#Kabali Trivandrum Updates: Early Morning shows starts at 6am. All early Morning shows r full at the price of ₹ 300 and ₹600 #ThalaivarMania."
