Karthi's Kaashmora (Kashmora) is doing good business at the US box office even on the weekdays. The movie has continued to dominate Dhanush's Kodi in the country.
Following huge hype, CineGalaxy acquired the overseas distribution rights of Kaashmora for a record price and made a grand arrangement for its release in North America. The Gokul-directed supernatural thriller movie opened to a good response on the first day and fared well at the US box office on the following days.
Kaashmora collected $278,394 (Rs 1.86 crore) from 70 screens at the US box office in the first weekend. Kaashmora landed in the second place, while Ae Dil Hai Mushkil topped the US business chart for Indian movies with $1,744,214 (R 11.65 crore). The film overtook the collections of Shivaay and Kodi, which grossed $255,737 (from 123 screens) and $58,138 (from 40 screens), respectively, at the US box office in the first weekend.
