Zee TV's "Kaala Teeka", which has been garnering positive responses from viewers since its inception, will soon take a big leap.
According to reports, "Kaala Teeka" will take a 14 years leap in February and will see the entry of three new casts.
TV actresses Simran Pareenja and Fenil Umrigar will be playing the roles of grown-ups Kaali and Gauri, respectively. Rohan Gandotra, of "Qubool Hai" fame, will play the role of male lead, Yug. Simran and Fenil had been part of shows like "Bhagyalakshmi" and "Bade Achhe Lagte Hain", respectively.
Post the leap, the story of "Kaala Teeka" will revolve around two beautiful young ladies -- Kaali and Gauri -- who grew up following the same superstitious beliefs as that of their elders. While Kaali will be the more intelligent, Gauri will be using Kaali's intelligence for her own success. The report further stated that post the leap, Gauri will be seen as a popular singer. However, the voice behind her popularity will be that of Kaali's.
Yug, an NRI, will return to his hometown, but will be completely against the superstitious beliefs.
Confirming the news, Simran told Telly Chakkar: "Yes, I am entering Kaala Teeka post the leap. I will play Kaali."
With the leap happening, Sargam Khurana and Adaa Narang, who played the younger kids -- Kaali and Gauri -- will bid adieu to the show.
