Sivakarthikeyan has registered his best opening at box office with his latest movie "Kaaki Sattai" aka "Kakki Sattai". This goes on to prove that the actor is fasting growing as a star at collection centres.
On the opening day, "Kaaki Sattai" made a business of ₹4 crore in Tamil Nadu alone. It was released in 372 screens and managed to cross 60% occupancy for the movie on the release day.
The biggest share came from Chengalpet region where "Kaaki Sattai" collected ₹1.05 crore. The next biggest centre is Coimbatore where it earned ₹77 lakh followed by North & South Arcot (₹62 lakh), Madurai (₹60 lakh), Trichy (₹50 lakh), Chennai city (₹45 lakh), Salem (₹40 lakh) and Tirunelveli-Kanyakumari (₹25 lakh).
The early reports on "Kaaki Sattai" second day business say that the movie has earned close to ₹3.95 crore and the business is stable. Please note that the figure is an estimated business and not the official number.
The movie has performed well despite facing competition from successful films like Dhanush's "Anegan" and Ajith Kumar's "Yennai Arindhaal". It has been released in 700+ worldwide.
The reports emerging from international circuits say that "Kaaki Sattai" has done reasonable well in some key centres. In the US and Malaysia, the film has got warm reception from the audience.
"Kaaki Sattai" is an action-masala movie, which is produced by actor Dhanush. It is directed by RS Durai Senthikumar and it has Sri Divya in the female lead role. Prabhu,Vijay Raaz, Manobala, Vidyullekha Raman, Imman Annachi, Kalpana, Nagineedu, Mayilsamy and others are in the cast.
