But the box office collection saw a drop in the third weekend. In its first weekend, the movie minted ₹3.37 crore and the second weekend earnings stood at ₹2.23 crore.
Considering that "Kaaka Muttai" has no big star cast, its box office collection is impressive.
"Kaaka Muttai" was released in 170 screens all over India, of which 109 screens were in Tamil Nadu. The initial start and the excellent online promotion helped the movie draw people to theatres.
"Kaaka Muttai" has been directed by M Manikandan and has Ramesh, Vignesh, Iyshwarya Rajesh, Ramesh Thilak and Babu Anthony in lead roles. Silambarasan and Dhanush have done guest appearances in the flick.
G V Prakash has composed the music while cinematography has been handled by Manikandan. The movie has been edited by Kishore Te.
"Kaaka Muttai" recently won the National Film Award for Best Children's Film and the National Film Award for Best Child artist.
