After the critically acclaimed movie "Valiya Chirakula Pakshikal", director Dr Biju aka Bijukumar Damodaran is all set to begin the shooting of his upcoming film "Kaadu Pookkunna Neram" (Meaning: When the Woods Bloom), starring Indrajith Sukumaran and Rima Kallingal. The movie will go on floors by first week of February.
The upcoming film also has Indrans, Irshad and Prakash Bare in pivotal roles, and will be shot mainly in the Western Ghats. "Kaadu Pookkunna Neram" is being produced by Sophia Paul under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters after the multi-starrer Anjali Menon movie "Bangalore Days". While MJ Radhakrishnan handles the cinematography, Jayadevan Chakkadath does the sound designing and sound mixing by Pramod Thomas.
Meanwhile, Sophia's production company has also announced production of Mohanlal-Meena-Jibu Jacob's upcoming untitled project. "After our successful debut launch with Bangalore Days and our upcoming Mohanlal-Meena-Jibu Jacob project, we are delighted and proud to announce our 3rd project "KAADU POOKKUNNA NERAM" (when the woods bloom) by the acclaimed director Dr.Biju, (sic)" Weekend Blockbusters posted on its Facebook page.
Dr Biju's previous movie "Valiya Chirakulla Pakshikal", starring Kunchacko Boban, won many accolades for narrating the real-life story of the victims of the deadly pesticide Endosulfan in Kozhikode. Other films by the National Film Award-winning director include "Saira", "Raman", "Veettilekkulla Vazhi", "Akasathinte Niram" and "Perariyathavar".
