Late last month there were rumours that Agneepath director-actor duo Karan Malhotra and Hrithik Roshan are reuniting for a comedy film. It was being said that the makers are on the lookout for a fresh face to be cast opposite the superstar.
According to the latest reports, Saif Ali Khan's daughter Sara Ali Khan has been approached to romance Roshan in the as-yet-untitled film. "She is back onboard but with a bigger and better project after the differences have been ironed out. She will be the leading lady of Karan Malhotra's comedy film, a first-of-it's-kind journey," an insider told Mumbai Mirror.
Even though this could very well be just another rumour, Malhotra sat on the fence with the information. He told Deccan Chronicle: "I don't want to confirm anything as of now. It's too early. Karan Johar will announce it very soon."
Sara has been in the news in relation to her big Bollywood debut. Earlier this year, it was being said that she would be one of Johar's students in Student Of The Year sequel, but she apparently walked out of it.
A little later, it was widely reported she would romance Ranveer Singh in Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy. However, the speculations were dismissed by the star kid's mother Amrita Singh last month.
"There is nothing final about Zoya's next. To speculate that Sara is a part of the film is very mischievous at this juncture. Sara's dad Saif is very close to Zoya's brother Farhan. If Sara wants to be in a film produced by Excel Entertainment (Farhan's company) all Saif or Amrita have to do is ask," a source had told DNA.
