Team Kaabil is pulling out all the stops to ensure that the revenge-thriller is a box office success. With Mohenjo Daro failing to shine at the box office, Hrithik Roshan, the lead star of the film, can barely take any more chances.
Fresh pairing (Hrithik and Yami Gautam) and concept are the two pluses, but for that extra zing, the makers are believed to have approached Priyanka Chopra. The Quantico star was offered an item number, which was politely turned down by her as she wanted her next Bollywood outing to be a significant one, Open Magazine reported. There's a chance that Katrina Kaif may fill in Chopra's shoes in Kaabil.
The Sanjay Gupta-directed film releases on January 26, 2017, the same day when Shah Rukh Khan's Raees is scheduled, which is a major concern and is definitely a pressure on the makers. This could be one of the other reasons the team is doing all they can to give Kaabil a good initial buzz.
What else is happening with Kaabil?
The cast and crew have wrapped up the shooting of Kaabil 11 days ahead of its schedule and that's quite a feat. Explaining how the unbelievable happened, producer Rakesh Roshan said that everyone (working on the film) would land on the sets an hour prior to the call time, making the shoot a smooth sail.
Kaabil teaser was out on October 21, Friday, which was received well by both viewers and critics. Even though the clip isn't big on visuals, Hrithik's voice and a hauntingly beautiful background score have made it intriguing.
The theatrical trailer of Kaabil arrives on October 26, Wednesday, and will be attached to the prints of Shivaay and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
