It could not have got a better day for revealing the name of the film and to release the first look of Jyothika's comeback film, which is a female-centric film titled as "36 Vayadhinile".
The first look and the name was unveiled to celebrate the Women's Day (8 March). It was directly released on Twitter on Sunday evening. While he timing of the release is perfect for a female-centric movie, the naming of the film too have to be appreciated as the real age of Jyothika is 36.
The first look of "36 Vayadhinile" shows Jyothika posing with a pride. The look is simple yet captivating.
"36 Vayadhinile" is a remake of Malayalam hit film "How Old Are You". The original version was a comeback movie of Manju Warrier, who returned after 14 year-gap. Even in case of Jyothika, she is returning to Kollywood after eight years.
"How Old Are You" had turned out to be a big hit in Malayalam. So, the makers of "36 Vayadhinile" are hoping that the Mollywood magic will work in Tamil too.
Jyothika's star husband Surya produces "36 Vayadhinile". It is a low-budget film and the movie will be in profits even before its release by selling satellite and other rights.
The shooting was completed in January 2015 in just 46 days. The Tamil version of the movie will have Rahman as the lead opposite Jyothika while Abhirami will play the role of her close friend in the movie. Actor Sanjay Bharathi will also appear in a pivotal role in the movie, which is directed by Rosshan Andrrews, the creator of the original version. "36 Vayadhinile" will release in April 2015.
Meanwhile, the first look of "36 Vayadhinile" has impressed Jyothika and Surya's fans. People on Twitter are appreciating the poster and have given thumbs up to it.
