Medium budget Telugu movies such as "Jyothi Lakshmi", "Kerintha" and "Lava Kusa", which will be released in theatres on 12 June, are set for a clash at the box office this weekend.
'Jyothi Lakshmi'
"Jyothi Lakshmi" is a romantic action entertainer featuring Charmme Kaur in the titular role. Set in Goa, this female-centric film revolves around the love story of a sex worker. Ace filmmaker Puri Jagannath has directed the movie and penned its script.
The promos of the movie have impressed the viewers. Charmme Kaur's action and glamour, scenic beauty of Goa, music and cinematography featured in the trailer have created a lot of curiosity about the film. When compared to other two, "Jyothi Lakshmi" is releasing in a number of screens across the globe.
'Kerintha'
"Kerintha", which is directed by Sai Kiran Adivi of "Vinayakudu" and "Village Lo Vinayakudu" fame, revolves around three characters and their beliefs. Promos show that the film is also going to be a good entertainer with comedy, glamour and other commercial ingredients. The movie features Sumanth Ashvin, Sri Divya and Tejaswin in the lead roles.
Ever since it was announced, "Kerintha" has been creating buzz in the media for one or other reason. Dil Raju, who has produced the film, has been the reason for huge hype and expectation surrounding the film. The movie has also got massive promotions and will grace a large number of theatres.
'Lava Kusa'
"Lava Kusa" is a romantic action entertainer, which has been directed by Jay Sreesivan and produced by S Prakash, V Satyamohan Reddy and A Pandu Babu. Varun Sandesh, Richa Panai and Ruchi Tripati have played the lead roles, while Brahmanandam and Babu Mohan also appeared in key roles.
All the three movies, "Jyothi Lakshmi", "Kerintha" and "Lava Kusa", have good storylines, popular star cast and crew, brilliant production values, hype and promotions. All of them are strong enough in their respective way. Trade analysts predict that there is going to be tough competition among these films.
