An LPG gas cylinder blast killed a mother-daughter duo in Kochi, Kerala, on Saturday, 11 July.
Local reports suggest that the deceased were 35-year-old Veni Shibu and 6-year-old Kiran.
The incident occurred in an apartment in Prashant Nagar in Edappally when Veni's husband was not at home.
Elamakkara Police could not save them although neighbours informed them soon after they noticed fumes coming from the house in the morning.
Police is investigating whether it was a suicide attempt or an accident.
