Junior NTR's "Nannaku Prematho," which has already become a huge success in a few foreign markets, is now all set to invade another key international market this Summer.
Reports suggest that "Nannaku Prematho" will be released with Japanese subtitles in Japan on Feb. 14. The makers have also reportedly planned to dub it in Japanese language and will release this version in the country in Summer. Dil Raju will distribute the film in the country and he will collaborate with a local distribution company IndoEiga for its release, reports 123Telugu.
South Indian superstar Rajinikanth's movies have done decent business at the Japanese box office. In recent times, no Telugu film was released in the country. In October 2015, SS Rajamouli had revealed that Arka Mediaworks International had struck a deal with Twin Co, which would release "Baahubali: The Beginning" in Japan. But till now, there is no news about its release in the international market.
"Nannaku Prematho" is expected to be the first Telugu movie to be released across Japan in recent times. The makers are yet to make an official announcement about the cinema halls where it will be released. The trade experts predict that the movie would impress the Japanese audience and do well at the box office.
The Junior NTR and Rakul Preet Singh starrer was released in international markets like the US, Canada, the UAE, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Germany, Malaysia, Singapore and a few others on Jan. 13, 2016. The movie has fared well in all these countries. "Nannaku Prematho" is estimated to have collected approximately Rs 19.16 crore at the overseas box office in 23 days.
Cine Galaxy, one of the leading overseas distribution houses, has acquired the theatrical rights of "Nannaku Prematho" for a whopping amount of Rs 6.20 crore. This is the biggest price for a Junior NTR film. The movie is estimated to have Rs 12.72 crore for the distributors so far and it is still doing well in some countries.
