Sources close to Telugu actor Junior NTR have slammed reports that suggest the Young Tiger is going to sing a number for Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan's new album. Hrithik Roshan, who had earlier worked with music directors Vishal-Shekhar in the hit music video of "Dheere Dheere Se," is now reportedly teaming up with the duo again. The new album is expected to be released by the end of this year.
It was rumoured that Hrithik Roshan was impressed with Junior NTR's voice in the Kannada song "Gelia Gelia" from Puneeth Rajkumar's "Chakravyuha." He wanted his song to be sung by the Telugu actor-singer, and suggested his name to Vishal and Shekhar.
Vishal Dadlani is already a familiar name in Tollywood since making his singing debut with the song "Athiloka Sundari" in "Sarainodu." This song has been composed by Thaman Shivakumar, who is also the composer of "Gelia Gelia." It was said that Thaman helped Vishal in approaching Junior NTR with the offer and the actor had agreed to sing the song.
But sources from the Telugu film industry deny such a development. "There was never even a discussion about NTR singing a song for Hrithik Roshan. It is pure speculation and nothing else", a source told 123Telugu.
Junior NTR, who is now busy with the shooting of "Janatha Garage," turned a singer with the song "Olammi Tikkareginda" from "Yamadonga" in 2007. Later, he has sung several hit numbers, including "Raakasi Raakasi" ("Rabhasa"), "Where's That?" ("Adhurs"), "123 Nenoka Kantri" ("Kantri") and "Follow Follow" ("Nannaku Prematho"). He made his singing debut in Kannada with the song "Gelia Gelia," which was hugely loved by the Kannada listeners.
