Hollywood actress Julia Roberts is set to make her television debut in a TV adaptation of Maria Semple's novel, Today Will Be Different.
The bestselling novel was published in September, which will come to TV as a limited series. Semple will write the mini-series herself, who has worked earlier as a writer and producer on TV series including Suddenly Susan and Arrested Development. The TV series will be produced by Annapurna Television along with Roberts' own production house Red Om Films.
In a statement, Semple said: "I'm giddy that Eleanor Flood will be brought to life by Julia Roberts... This will be a fun ride!"
The story follows a very busy day of Eleanor Flood's life, who decides to tackle everything together which she needs to do. But one morning she wakes up and finds herself derailed by a lot of unexpected twists. And, she is forced to abandon her own plans at last.
The Eat, Pray, Love star has previously appeared as a guest star in such TV shows as Friends and Law & Order, but this will be her first lead role in a series.
It has not yet been confirmed which network will broadcast the show.
