Varun Dhawan is excited about stepping into Salman Khan's shoes for "Judwaa 2," but the rest of the cast is yet to be decided. A lot of A-list actresses' and models' names have been associated with the project; the latest ones are Alia Bhatt and Shraddha Kapoor.
According to a Filmfare report, producer Sajid Nadiadwala is keen on roping in these two young stars opposite Varun. Earlier, the possibility of these ladies sharing screen space was ruled out because there were reports of a rift between them. However, that turned out to be untrue; the girls bond well apparently.
Kingfisher model Aisha Sharma, who is said to have bagged a role in Akshay Kumar's "Namastey England," was apparently being considered for the sequel as the makers were on the lookout for a fresh face.
"The makers were on the lookout for a fresh face to be paired opposite one of the characters Varun plays (he has a double role in the film) and Aisha fit the bill. She was to make her film debut last year with a Telugu film, but was replaced by Raashi Khanna in that film," a source told DNA a few months ago.
Interestingly, the makers were, at one point, thinking of pulling Jacqueline Fernandez on board. A SpotboyE report claimed that Sajid, Varun and Jacqueline had an intense meeting on the sets of "Dishoom."
Meanwhile, Varun is nervous about "Judwaa 2." He said it was a huge responsibility on his shoulders adding that he would have to prove himself with it. The look tests have been conducted and a sky-diving sequence was shot using a stand-in artiste, the Times of India reported.
