After blockbuster family entertainer "Om Shanti Oshana," director Jude Anthany Joseph is all set to enthral the Kerala audience with his second outing "Oru Muthassi Gadha." The release date of the upcoming movie has been announced and it will hit the screens on Sept.15.
"Oru Muthassi Gadha," which narrates the story in the backdrop of an old age home, is set to lock horns with many big-budget films scheduled as Onam releases. It will be pitted against Mohanlal's "Oppam," Prithviraj Sukumaran's "Oozham," Vikram's "Irumugan," Kunchacko Boban's "Kochavva Paulo Ayyappa Coelho" and Dileep's "Welcome to Central Jail" at the Kerala box office.
Apart from the two characters playing the lead grandmother roles, "Oru Muthassi Gadha" also stars Vineeth Sreenivasan, Rajeev Pillai, Aparna Balamurali, Suraj Venjaramood, Renji Panicker, Lal Jose, Ramesh Pisharadi, Rajini Chandy, Lena, Bhagyalakshmi and Manju Sathish in significant roles.
Musician Shaan Rahman, editor Lijo Paul, cinematographer Vinod Illampally, costume designer Sameera Saneesh and many others, who worked with Jude in his directorial debut will associate with him again in "Oru Muthassi Gadha." It is being bankrolled by Mukesh R Mehta under the banner of E4 Entertainment.
The upcoming movie is one of the most anticipated projects in Malayalam as Jude's debut movie, starring Nivin Pauly and Nazriya Nazim in the lead, won many accolades, including the Kerala State Film Award for best popular film, best film with popular appeal and aesthetic value, best actress and best editor, among many others.
