Jr NTR's "Ramayya Vastavayya" (RV) is all set to hit the screens on 11 October.
Earlier, speculations were rife that "RV" release might be delayed due to the ongoing protests in the Seemandhra region. But the film's producer has denied such reports and announced that the film will make its way to theatres on 11 October, to cash in on the Dussehra holidays.
Directed by Harish Shankar of "Gabbar Singh" fame, "RV" is touted to be an action-packed entertainer with all the commercial elements needed for a successful film. Samantha plays the female lead opposite Jr NTR, while Shruti Haasan appears in a guest role. Earlier there were reports doing the rounds that Shruti will play a negative character in "RV". The actress and the film's director dismissed the reports as mere rumours.
Fans are upbeat about the Harish-Jr NTR combo as they are teaming up for the first time. Both have tasted big success with their last releases - "Gabbar Singh" (Harish Shankar) and "Baadshah" (Jr NTR), which has raised expectations for the upcoming film.
The release of "RV" during the Dussehra holidays may help the film rake in more collections during the opening weekend. Interestingly, the date '11' seems to work wonders for both Harish and film's producer Dil Raju. The director's "Gabbar Singh" and Dil Raju's "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu" (SVSC), which released on 11 May 2012 and 11 January 2013, respectively, had turned out to be blockbusters.
It remains to be seen if "RV" will be able to attain such success upon its release on the same date this month. One also needs to wait a little longer to find out if the Jr NTR starrer will be able to break new records set by the recently-released Pawan Kalyan starrer "Attarintiki Daredi".
