Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho has said hes happy with the six-point lead that the Blues have over Manchester City, even after a disappointing result of 1-1 at home against Southampton. The result saw the Blues move up to 64 points in the table after 28 matches.
Im happy with the situation. Im happy with the six-point lead, but Im not happy with the result, said Mourinho at a press conference. If somebody tells me in August that at the end of March we are six points in front and one match in hand, I would sign immediately.
The boss admitted his disappointment over the result, as Chelsea have dropped points in three of their past four home games, having won the previous 10.
There are two perspectives and I have both with me. I am not happy with the result, but I am happy with performance, and the six points lead. I am not jumping with happiness and I am not crying with disappointment.
Asked about the penalty, he said: My opinion is not important. Its the referees decision and the pundits opinions. My feeling that penalty for Chelsea in our favour – impossible to be given. My clear feeling.
