Dramatic footage has shown children being rescued from a flooded house in Jordan, after heavy rain caused chaos across the country. YouTube footage from Mohammad Abultayeb shows a number of men trying to break a window of a Amman house to rescue the children trapped inside.
Water can be seen seen streaming out of the building, with a group of children visible through the shutters. Eventually one man manages to break the shutter with his hammer, and the children come flying out of the house.
Heavy rain submerged parts of Amman on 5 November, with many houses damaged due to the adverse weather. Tunnels, car parks and roads were also flooded, with some drivers having to abandon their cars to escape from the rising water.
Amman also experienced an unseasonal sand storm on 4 November.
