Zee TV's popular historic series "Jodha Akbar", that went on air in June 2013, wrapped up the shoot last week. It was an emotional day for the entire cast and crew, Paridhi Sharma, who plays Rajput princess Jodha in the series revealed.
"We all were shocked to know that the show is ending so soon. It was a bit of an emotional day on the last day of our shoot. If we get attached to something from quite some time and when the time comes to depart from it, then it will certainly make you emotional and the same thing happened with me," the gorgeous actress told Telly Buzz.
Paridhi and Rajat Tokas, who plays the role of Mughal emperor Akbar in the 16th century love story, had a huge fan following across the globe, making them one of the most popular TV couples.
It's been a wonderful journey with the show, Paridhi said. "The best part of my journey was the kind of love and affection I got from the audience for playing this character. It was really an overwhelming experience for me. I am really thankful to all of those who loved my performance. I have gained a lot of confidence and experience and have grown as an actress," she acknowledged.
Overwhelmed by the love her fans have showered on her, Paridhi said, "I am happy that the fans are so much attached with the show, that they are going through the same emotions as the cast and crew felt. It's a kind of tremendous respect that we have received from the fans. I am really thankful for their enormous love towards me."
The show had to be pulled out due to drastic falls in the TRP ratings.
