Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), over the years, has become famous, thanks to the greats like Randy Couture, Anderson Silva, Georges St-Pierre, Royce Gracie and so on. In the recent years, the likes of Conor McGregor and Ronda Rousey have elevated the UFC to a whole new level.

Having said that, there are some still active fighters who are not much talked about, but inside the octagon, they are the biggest forces to reckon with. One instance be 'Mighty Mouse' Demetrious Johnson, who is en route to be the Greatest Of All Time (G.O.A.T) in the UFC, within a couple of years or so.

Now, when it comes to the women's division, there is none but Ronda Rousey who is referred to as the greatest ever. While we still remain unsure of her return to MMA, let us not forget the rich legacy of Rousey, who is 12-2-0 in her MMA career and the greatest UFC women's bantamweight champion.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk -- how many of us have heard that name before? If you're not a MMA fan, pretty sure you have not, especially with the complicated surname she got. For starters, Joanna, 29, is the current UFC strawweight champion, who is undoubtedly one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time. Her journey to success is almost similar to that of Rousey.

Who is Joanna Jedrzejczyk?

Born: August 18 1987 in Olsztyn, Poland

Weight division: Strawweight (115 pounds)

Height: 5'6"

Achievements: UFC Strawweight champion (2015-present)

Four successful title defenses

MMA record: 13-0-0

UFC debut: UFC Fight Night (July 2014)

Upcoming fight: Joanna vs Jessica Andrade (UFC 211)

Personal life: Engaged to Przemysław Buta

While many may call the UFC women's strawweight division as a relatively easier one, fact remains that Joanna has faced quite a few tough fighters in Claudia Gadelha, Valerie Letourneau and Karolina Kowalkiewicz.

She now takes on a veteran Brazilian fighter in Jessica Andrade at the UFC 211 event on Saturday May 13 in Dallas, Texas. Many are calling the fight as Joanna's toughest ever.

Andrade is 16-5-0 in her MMA career and is one a four-match winning streak.

Now, if Joanna manages to defend her title successfully yet again on Saturday, Joanna could be set to meet Rose Namajunas -- one of the most-highly rated women's strawweight fighters -- up next.
