The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has invited applications for Direct PhD Admission on the basis of a written test.
Since there are limited vacancies offered through the Direct Admission programme, candidates are advised to apply as early as possible.
JNU offers PhD in 10 categories via Direct Admission:
- International Studies
- Social Sciences
- Language, Literature and Culture Studies
- Physical Sciences
- Life Sciences
- Arts and Aesthetics
- Computational and Integrative Sciences
- Biotechnology
- Molecular Medicine
- Sanskrit Studies
Some of the specialisations, like Computer & Systems Sciences, Environmental Sciences and Study of Law & Governance, have not been included under the Direct Admission programme this year.
The applications of the candidates whose MPhil/MTech/Pre-PhD/MPH results are not available will not be considered.

Application Fee
Candidates should enclose a demand draft drawn in favour of Jawaharlal Nehru University payable at New Delhi for the cost of application form and processing fees.
