Pakistan committed ceasefire violation by firing on Monday along the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba sector. The firing was reported at 8.45 am and later at 9.35 am.

On Thursday, Pakistan committed the first ceasefire violation along the International Border in 2017. The development was reportedly unprovoked.
A BSF post was hit by three to four bursts of automatice weapon fire from Pakistan's side followed by a volley of grenades in Samba sector. No loss or damage had been reported then.
Indian forces had retaliated with firing.
The Bobiyan post came under attack with rapid rounds of gunfire and about six grenades targeting the post, the BSF said.
Prior to January, the last ceasefire violation at the IB was on the intervening night of November 29 and 30.
Also on Thursday, the Border Security Force (BSF) foiled a "fierce stand-off attack" from a group of heavily armed terrorists along the IB in Samba. This was the first major infiltration bid by terrorists along the international border in 2017.
