A Hizb-ul Mujahideen terrorist was reportedly caught in the Shopian district of Jammu & Kashmir on Tuesday.
The militant was reportedly apprehended during a joint operation by the Army and the police.
The security forces have recovered two hand grenades, a Chinese grenade and some AK 47 ammuntion from him.
Last week, the Centre had asked the forces to beef up security along the LoC and in Jammu & Kashmir after receiving specific inputs about possible terror attacks by militant outfits such as Hizb-ul Mujahideen and Lashkar-e-Toiba.
There were also report about Pakistan's spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence was providing logistic assistance to these terror groups.
